The popularity of SSDs or Solid State Drives is increasing day by day. Unlike a traditional HDD which rely on spinning disks, SSDs use NAND flash storage to save data on it. Both internal and external versions of SSDs are available nowadays. Most of these devices use USB as well as Serial ATA (SATA) interfaces. A typical SSD has advantages over an HDD as it possesses high data rate by consuming less power. SSDs can withstand extreme temperatures, shocks or magnetic field influences, etc. and they make no noise like an HDD due to aging.
However irrespective of its advantages, data stored on these solid state drives may get deleted because of various reasons. If one person is properly maintaining a backup of data stored on his/her SSD, it won’t establish any need for recovering deleted files from SSD drive. Without such a backup, the only possible option is recovery.
Inadvertent File Deletion: You may delete important files from an external SSD while removing unwanted files from it. Such deleted files will not reach on Recycle Bin/ Trash, instead it will permanently get deleted.
Ejection of External SSD during Data Transfer: If your remove your external SSD from computer while performing a data write operation on it, it may result in the deletion of involved files. Anyway, you can recover deleted files from SSD drive using sophisticated tools by employing little effort.
Third Party Tools: Use of some untrustworthy third party tools for system maintenance tasks such as removing junk files, registry repair, etc. can result in the loss of some of your precious files from even an external SSD which is being attached to that computer.
All the above mentioned scenarios can lead to deletion of data from an SSD. But before restoring deleted files from SSD drive, you need to know one important fact; any kind of attempt to get back files from an internal SSD may not be accomplished as the sector from which file is deleted from an internal SSD will be trimmed by the OS. But you can still go for external SSD recovery deleted file recovery with the help of powerful data recovery utilities like Uneraser application. Variants of this tool are available for both Windows and Mac systems. What this software truly recovers? As you know, this process is completely regardless of which key combination that you are using to delete a file from SSD, i.e., Delete or Shift + Delete on Windows. It is same for Mac also.
iMac is a popular desktop computer produced by Apple computers. This computers are mostly preferred among professional graphic designers as well as video editors. So, safely of media files on Mac is quite important. However, there are many reported incidents regarding accidental photo deletion from an SD card which is used on an iMac machine. But don’t worry if you are an iMac user. You can recover erased photos from SD card on iMac using Uneraser tool without missing a single photo.
Windows 8 can be regarded as a “new generation” operating system developed by Microsoft. This OS includes various advanced features in order to ensure compatibility with mobile and tablet platforms and to provide support for touch screen interfaces. However, this OS is also vulnerable to data loss which happens due to loss or deletion of partitions. But it doesn’t require complex procedures to solve this issue, as Uneraser utility can recover Windows 8 partition which lost due to numerous unanticipated reasons.
Suppose you are using a Windows 10 computer. What will you do if some of your hard drive partitions got missing from your computer? Don’t worry, with the help of Uneraser tool, you can perform Windows 10 lost partition data recovery effectively.
Step 1: Connect your SSD with your computer from where data got deleted. Download and install free version of Uneraser tool on your computer by clicking “Download now” button. After downloading, launch the software by double clicking on its desktop icon. Home screen of this tool will now appear as shown in Figure 1. For your purpose, you have to select “Recover Drives” Option from it.
